META TAKE ONE
GRAPHIC DESIGNER | MERCH DESIGNER
Key Deliverables: Movie poster and merchandise design package.

THE CONCEPT
Visual Metaphor: The "Hero Image" is a high-intensity close-up of the protagonist staring directly into the lens. To represent his descent into madness, I fragmented the image into blocked lines, metaphorically displaying the mental disconnect and psychological breakdown he experiences as an artist.
Typography & Palette: While the film is primarily black and white, I introduced a grainy, high-contrast orange against deep black backgrounds. This adds a "warning" energy that is visually arresting for social feeds and physical posters while maintaining the film's dark, gritty tone.
Source Material: I pulled frames directly from the film to ensure the marketing felt synonymous with the cinematography.
Technique: Used Photoshop to manipulate film stills into high-impact graphic assets, focusing on texture and blocking effects to mirror the character's instability and intensity.
MERCH & BRAND EXPANSION
Scaling the Brand: I deconstructed the poster’s hero image for a streetwear-inspired apparel line.
Front: The "Fragmented Face" serves as a bold, recognizable icon.
Back: Detailed film credits and production notes, turning each garment into a walking "credit roll" for the film.
Consistency: By using the same hero screenshot across posters, merch, and social headers, we built a recognizable visual shorthand that became the face of the film’s promotion.
THE RESULT
The poster and merchandise package became the visual foundation for Meta Take One's presence on the festival circuit: serving as the primary marketing and promotional identity for the film across every touchpoint. From submissions to screenings, the design work established the film's brand and ensured a cohesive, professional presentation throughout its run.
